A young guy working in the French Alps of Savoie and on the fringe of the mighty Valais of Switzerland, Jean-Yves Peron only started his personal winegrowing endeavour in 2004, but has quickly made a mark for wines of unique alpine expression. Initially working with a mere two hectares of vines, the range has grown, but the vision is clear – hands-on viticulture, minimally fussed with hand-harvested fruit, variance in winemaking influence from skin contact to sous voile oxidative handling, with low or no sulphur.
