Pascal Agrapart is the fourth generation of champagne maker to take the reins at his family’s historic domaine, which sits at the heart of the village of Avize. With 12 hectares of vineyards, including some of the oldest in the Côtes des Blancs, Pascal’s focus is very much on working the land in the most sensitive possible fashion - so vineyards are worked resolutely by hand, with the family’s horse Vénus stepping in from time to time. That hard work pays off in fruit that yields champagnes of endless complexity and marked tension that age wonderfully.
