Aleatico is an aromatic red grape, its speculated that is is a red-skinned relative to white Muscat varieties, cultivated mainly in central Italy capable of producing wonderfully delicate, but profound wines. Look out for Lazio producers Le Coste’s Roasto and Alea Jacta Est for the definitive word on the grape.
