A killer take on Gewurztraminer from the vineyards of the Bannwarth family in Alsace. This spent two years resting in old barrels without topping up and as a result there is a a nice oxidative character to the fruit, which pairs plenty of structure with a refreshing green citrus note. Compelling drinking.

Anders Frederik Steen used to be a sommelier in his native Denmark, responsible for writing some of the best wine lists in the world at places like Relae, Manfreds and Noma. A few years ago he began making a handful of one-off wines with legendary nomadic producer Jean-Marc Brignot and the rest as they say, is history.
