From her family's vineyards in the hills outside Asti, Nadia Verrua makes some really beautiful, old-school wines. This is a blend of Barbera and Ruche, co-fermented as whole bunches for a couple of months. It has a really inviting nose packed full of wild flowers, plenty of juicy black fruit and those savoury tannins for which the region is so well known.
Nadia Verrua is a third generation farmer and the young lady at the helm of her family’s vineyards and hazelnut trees in the hills outside Asti in Piedmont. Her wines are rustic and soulful, a taste of the Piedmont of old.
