It is no exaggeration to say Jacques Perritaz of Cidrerie Du Vulcain produces some of the most incredible ciders on earth. Jacques only works with low-yielding, ancient trees, some of which are over 200 years of age. In this vintage Jacques lost 90% of his harvest and was forced to purchase fruit from further afield. This is made from apples grown in the Thurgovie region of Switzerland and is just off-dry. Displaying beautiful brightness and clarity, it would work wonderfully as an aperitif.

Cidrerie Du Vulcain

Jacques Perritaz makes some of the world’s great ciders from various fruit trees planted in the Swiss alps. Whether apples, pears, quince or otherwise, he often forages fruit from wild trees that have never been treated, resulting in drinks of incredible finesse.
