It is no exaggeration to say Jacques Perritaz of Cidrerie Du Vulcain produces some of the most incredible ciders on earth. Jacques only works with low-yielding, ancient trees, some of which are over 200 years of age. In this vintage Jacques lost 90% of his harvest and was forced to purchase fruit from further afield. This is made from apples grown in the Thurgovie region of Switzerland and is just off-dry. Displaying beautiful brightness and clarity, it would work wonderfully as an aperitif.
