This negotiant side project 'Deci Dela' (meaning from here and there) by Chablis rising star Athenais Beru was born out of the most difficult of circumstances. Athenais lost an entire year's crop in one frost, forcing her to look further afield for fruit. This is Gamay from Beaujolais, fermented with whole bunches for a couple of weeks and aged in old barrels for a little over a year. Reflecting the vintage this is radiant and perfumed, a beautiful expression of one of our favourite grapes.

Athenais Beru is the rising star at the helm of her family’s Chateau de Beru. This ‘negociant’ side project was born out of the most difficult of circumstances. Athenais lost an entire year’s crop in one frost, forcing her to look further afield for fruit and while we wouldn’t wish this misfortune on any grower, we certainly feel privileged to see her apply her touch to grapes and places a long way from Chablis.
