A beautiful expression of Syrah from the volcanic soils of Gradoli in Lazio's north. This is a little more structured than it's sister, Nini, on account of a maceration that saw regular pigeage. The result is a darker, deeper take on the grape that is still full of energy from these wonderful soils.
Le Coste
Clementine Bouveron and Gianmarco Antonuzzi met in France while working for the legendary Gerard Schueller in Alsace. After years working with some of France’s top producers, they decided to move back Gianmarco’s village of Gradoli on the shores of Lake Bolsena in Lazio’s north and apply what they had learnt to the local grapes that grow on the regions lively volcanic soils. These two are responsible for some of the most original and delicious wines we have tried.
