In our opinion, Le Coste make one of the world’s truly great rosatos but this is just something else. From old vines of Aleatico planted about five hundred metres above sea level on volcanic soils, it impresses with delicate notes of minerals, smoke and flowers and is just the prettiest shade of pink. Wow.
Le Coste
Clementine Bouveron and Gianmarco Antonuzzi met in France while working for the legendary Gerard Schueller in Alsace. After years working with some of France’s top producers, they decided to move back Gianmarco’s village of Gradoli on the shores of Lake Bolsena in Lazio’s north and apply what they had learnt to the local grapes that grow on the regions lively volcanic soils. These two are responsible for some of the most original and delicious wines we have tried.
