Gewürztraminer from the Bannwarth family’s vineyards in Obermorschwihr, Alsace. The grapes were pressed directly and left to ferment outside in cuve for six months, before three and a half years of ageing in old barriques. The result is a wine of rare intensity, that pairs the variety’s familiar flavours of exotic fruits and rose with more savoury, oxidative notes of salt, nuts and spice.
Note : Due to the nature of these archive products some of the wax tops could be chipped, damaged or removed due to transit
Anders Frederik Steen
Anders Frederik Steen used to be a sommelier in his native Denmark, responsible for writing some of the best wine lists in the world at places like Relae, Manfreds and Noma. A few years ago he began making a handful of one-off wines with legendary nomadic producer Jean-Marc Brignot and the rest as they say, is history. He now lives with his family in the village of Valvignères in the Ardèche, producing highly original wines from some of the region’s most beautiful vineyards.
