Amber in colour with rich toffee hues, this cider has been made using some of the classic cider apples from Somerset, including Yarlington Mill & Chisel Jersey. It's a wild one, with fascinating, robust tannins. You'll find zesty mandarin, honeysuckle & earthy turmeric notes on the nose. These aromas are reflected on the palate, enveloped in tannins with a light pètillance due to the fermentation finishing in bottle. Chill upright, & open a few minutes before drinking.
Tillingham
Ben Walgate is the man behind Tillingham, the most ambitious wine project in the UK today. Based in the East Sussex countryside near Rye, they farm not only grapes but fruit and livestock too. It is early days, but their ambitious approach has to be commended and we’ve marked them as one to watch in the coming years.
