The wines benefit from what a soil type the Slovenian's call 'Ponca', a complex mix of sandstone, clay and marine deposits that produces powerful, mineral rich wines.åÊThis is a blend of Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc fermented on skins for four months and aged in old casks for four years. A deep amber in colour, it is full of exuberant fruit, kept in check by firm tannins and a long, lingering finish. A true original.
