This is mostly Gruner with a bit of Neuburger for good measure. Depth in flavour is a trademark of the Arndorfer range, and Schlehe is a welcome addition. Gentle maceration has drawn out a pleasing amount of grip to balance out some pretty ripe yellow fruited character. This is a good intro to the world of skins for the uninitiated, whilst offering more than enough for the already converted.

Arndorfer
Martin and Anna Arndorfer work a patchwork of small vineyards in their hometown Strass, in the region of Kamptal. They work mostly with the traditional grüner veltliner and riesling native to the area. The vineyards are farmed sustainably, and the same care and respect is used in vinification. They believe their wines to be the best representatives of what and who they are carrying their thoughts, their origin and their journeys.
