Grenache Blanc from the Oustric family in Valvignères, pressed long and slow over four days and then aged in old demi muids for two years. A deep, dark shade of amber, it is heady with baked orange, smoke, nuts and spice. The density of the fruit is framed by firm tannins, adding balance to this intensely savoury wine. ( Note: despite the color this is not an orange wine )

Anders Frederik Steen

Anders Frederik Steen used to be a sommelier in his native Denmark, responsible for writing some of the best wine lists in the world at places like Relae, Manfreds and Noma. A few years ago he began making a handful of one-off wines with legendary nomadic producer Jean-Marc Brignot and the rest as they say, is history. He now lives with his family in the village of Valvignères in the Ardèche, producing highly original wines from some of the region’s most beautiful vineyards.
