The release of Philippe’s vin jaune is something we always look forward to. 2012’s wine is heavy with hazelnuts, smoke and just a touch of curry leaf spice and while perhaps surprisingly perky and tightly wound at the moment this will reward no end with a few years kept in a cool, dark place.
