Les Terres Bleues
Xaviere Hardy is a winemaker who willed the creation of her domaine into existence. With no other vines for 60km around, she lobbied local bureaucrats for years to allow her to plant small vineyards of Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Grolleau around the tiny village of La Chapelle-Glain in the winemaking no man’s land north of the Loire river. Vines were finally planted in 2013 and are now steadily producing the biodynamically farmed fruit that marks Xaviere’s wines out as some of the most eye-opening we’ve experienced in a long time.
